Print
Producing print material requires
a wide variety of skills, all led by a commitment to craftsmanship,
for print is truly a craft.
Creating great
print materials requires a solid understanding of what can actually
be created on a printing press. Without this knowledge, truly wonderful
print projects can never be achieved.
I was taught by one of the best
in Canada, Mr. Bill Maitland, and spent hundreds of hours listening
as he taught me printing in a time when film stripping was a dark
room art.
Art boards came in with ruby
lith overlays. Bill always had time to answer my questions and
my education spent with him on the floor of a print shop was as
complete as can be found in any university, beginning with two
color presses to six color Heidelbergs to my spending a year educating
clients on the advantages of stochastic and direct to plate processes.
I have produced millions of
dollars worth of print materials for many clients including Belleville
Park in Victoria, IBM Canada, Henry
Birks and Sons, Ogilvy & Mather, Grey Advertising,
BBDO Canada, Chrysler
Canada, Mercedes-Benz
Canada, Bermuda
Department of Tourism, St.
Maarten Department of Tourism, Port
Angeles Department of Tourism, Doctors
Without Borders,
Habitat
For Humanity and many others.
My work is meticulous. If you
have a print project in mind, drop me an email and allow
me to help you bring your concept to life.
