Building and Managing Resorts

Our experience managing and developing resorts includes developing our own small Belizean Beach House resort - Ocean's Edge - from scratch and managing one of the Top Five Star Resorts in Belize; Robert’s Grove.

At Ocean’s Edge, we bought and designed the property, oversaw construction of the Beach Houses and marketed the property to a successful sale. Our marketing was so successful that we were booked for the first half year we were open before we had started building.

On Vancouver Island this past year, we completely re-created the in-house resort marketing and creative for a local developer by centralizing their work and directing some innovative work which increased their sales in some programs by 54%. We also collaborated in building a beautiful architectural model for this Victoria developer, which contributed greatly to allowing their sales team to market the resort development in Vancouver.

At Robert’s Grove in Belize, we had a staff of 70+ employees and were responsible for re-construction of the resort after Hurricane Iris caused several hundred thousand dollars of damage. At the end of our first year in Belize, we were named to the Top Five Star Resort Managers in Belize after maintaining a 65% occupancy rate and overseeing major additions to the resort including 16 new condos, a dive operation and marina and much more.

We have also been involved in a variety of other resort properties including Jaguar Reef Lodge in Belize, The Port Angeles Department of Tourism in Washington State, The St. Maarten Department of Tourism, The Bermuda Department of Tourism and Belleville Park in Victoria, BC.
